And the best thing about being a Road Warrior….

Posted by Shirl Kohl-Martin under: Shirl Kohl-Martin .

Is that people buy you new running clothes for Holidays and birthdays….or at least that is what happend to me!  And of course, that leads me to another GREAT 2008 story!

A couple of weeks ago I received new running pants for a birthday gift and luckily they were the wrong size.  I say luckily because that meant that I got to exchange them at my  favorite running store…GAZELLE SPORTS!

I went into the store on my birthday and  I was helped by two terrific sales team members, Matt and Ted.  I locate the correct size and proceed to the checkout counter and began talking with Ted at great lengths about how much I love the store, running, walking….etc.  My comment to him was, “I should work in here.”  And that is where it all began!  Well, one thing leads to another and I’m very excited to say that I am now a member of the Gazelle Sports organization.  Can you believe it!  I still can’t!

So,  last night I went to my first (employee) team training meeting and now I understand why they are known as the running experts - we have training meetings every week!  It’s awesome.  The entire staff is kept up to date on the latest in running, walking and soccer gear.

I went into the store to exchange a pair of running pants and I get a new job!  How GREAT is that!?!

Please be sure to stop in and see us!  We have new shipments coming in all the time and of course that is where you can get all of your 5/3 River Bank Run clothing.

So thank you Road Warrior committee… And, of course thanks to the Gazelle Staff.  I’m proud to be a part of both organizations!
